Televigation, Inc., North America's leading provider of wireless Location Based Services (LBS) today announced it has changed its name to "TeleNav, Inc.". The new name comes from Televigation's leading mobile phone Navigation brand TeleNav®, which, over the last two years has become synonymous with mobile phone navigation. TeleNav is North America's original mobile phone GPS Navigation service and is similar to in-car GPS systems found in luxury vehicles, but only costs a fraction of the price of in-car GPS systems. "Everyone knows us as TeleNav so it made a lot of sense to have one corporate brand. Consumers, wireless carriers, analysts and businesses can now call us by one name - TeleNav," said Dr. HP Jin, president and CEO of TeleNav.
