Telenav Press Release:

Friends Can Now Connect Through TeleNav's 'Whereboutz(TM)' Application Built on Facebook(R) Platform
Free application available on Facebook Platform and more than 100 types of cell phones, Whereboutz makes it fun and effortless to keep up with friends around the world.

Sunnyvale, Calif. – December 10, 2007—This holiday season, it will be easy for friends and family to keep in touch and find out each other’s ‘whereboutz’ through a new online and mobile social networking service from TeleNav called Whereboutz. The application is a quick and entertaining way for users to meet up or find out ‘whereboutz’ their friends are and what they are doing, anytime and from anywhere. Whereboutz is free and available online through Facebook as well as on more than 100 cell phone models through a downloadable application.

“We know people want an enjoyable way to stay in touch with their friends and relatives, especially around the holidays. Our new Whereboutz service instantly connects people no matter where they are,” said HP Jin, president, CEO and co-founder of TeleNav. “I can keep up with my friends and family living here and anywhere across the globe.”

The Whereboutz Facebook application is a simple way for users to update their current location by typing in an address and adding notes about what they are up to. An interactive map shows members where their friends are as well as the comments about what they are doing. The application also includes a local search function that allows members to look up businesses nearby so they can suggest places to meet.

Additionally, if a user has not updated his / her location in awhile, friends can ‘nudge’ each other with one click for a quick way of determining their ‘whereboutz.’ When nudged, users will receive a text message to let them know that their friends want to know where they are. They can also post their own locations and comments directly from their cell phones so they can keep in touch while on the go. Friends will receive a text message when others update their ‘whereboutz.’
