Scout for Cars: Brought In – A seamless connection between the phone and car to enhance the personal journey

Scout for Cars gives drivers easy access and control of a full range of Scout navigation and search services, so they can keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

Scout for Cars can be purchased in the Scout app on a driver’s mobile smartphone. Once connected to the car via Bluetooth, Scout for Cars allows users to see and hear their turn-by-turn directions on their automotive screen and speakers. Drivers also have quick access to all Scout favorites, routes, commute times, weather and traffic updates without having to re-enter any of the information. Learn more about the Scout mobile app.

Scout for Cars: Built In – Bringing the cloud into the car

The Telenav Auto 2.0 platform delivers a premium experience, connecting embedded navigation units with the phone and cloud. Award-winning navigation and local search are just the beginning. Telenav Auto 2.0 provides connectivity to all of Telenav’s mobile services. Telenav Auto 2.0 also incorporates HTML5, giving manufacturers broad flexibility in service and application development.

Telenav Auto 2.0 features include:

3D Map Engine – Intelligent aerial view, satellite imagery, Picture-in-Picture, digital terrain, 3D city models and Sign as Real (realistic road signs)

Configurable Map Modes – On-board, off-board and hybrid map options for navigation information, even with limited wireless coverage

Off-board Places Search – Mobile phone and cloud integration brings up-to-date content into the vehicle

Places Sharing – An exact location or favorite Place can be sent to any contact in a driver’s phone

Send to Car – A destination or address can be sent from a computer to the car

Favorites and Contact Sync – Integration of contacts and destination favorites from the driver’s phone for instant access

Calendar Integration – Access to calendar information stored on the driver’s mobile phone for easy destination entry

Vehicle-Tuned Eco-Routing – Routes are tuned to the vehicle’s specific fuel consumption

One of the world’s largest automotive parts suppliers, Delphi selected Telenav for the in-dash navigation component of its new, connected auto infotainment system, which will be available worldwide.
