Santa Clara, California, April 25th, 2025 — Telenav, a leading provider of navigation and intelligent connected vehicle software, today announced that Changan Mazda has selected Telenav's navigation APK, guidance solution, and EHP road information services for its J90A export vehicle program, supporting the J90A's expansion into markets including Europe and Southeast Asia.
Telenav's navigation solution for the J90A is built on a hybrid architecture pairing an embedded navigation engine with online services — delivering a consistent, high-quality experience across regions with vastly different road environments and digital ecosystems. The APK manages route planning and turn-by-turn guidance, while online services boost destination search and data updates, so J90A performs at the same level in mature and emerging markets alike. Working within a demanding timeline, Telenav completed design, integration, and high-quality delivery on schedule — keeping the J90A's export program firmly on track.
"Changan Mazda is taking the J90A to some of the world's most competitive markets, and navigation quality is a make-or-break part of that story. We are delighted they chose Telenav — and even more delighted that we delivered on a timeline that kept their launch plans exactly where they needed to be," said Hassan Wahla, President & Chief Customer Officer, Automotive, at Telenav.
"The hybrid architecture is what makes global consistency possible: embedded reliability where connectivity is thin, online richness where it's strong. Combined with EHP data — curvature, grade, ramp structure — flowing into the J90A's driver assistance systems, it is a foundation built for safety and scale," said Manfred Fu, General Manager, Automotive, at Telenav.
On the driver assistance side, Telenav's EHP road information services supply the J90A with far more than basic speed limits — delivering rich road characteristics such as curvature, grade, and ramp structure that the vehicle's driver assistance modules can consume for higher-dimensional environmental context at curves, slopes, and complex junctions. The result: a safer, more capable assistance feature set for overseas markets.
As the program advances, Changan Mazda will tailor the navigation UI and EHP-based assistance presentation to the J90A's product positioning, while Telenav continuously optimizes navigation performance and EHP data usage from real-world usage across regions — together refining the J90A's smart cockpit and driver assistance capabilities worldwide.
