RELATING TO SCOUT PLAZA ONLINE COMMUNITY 

Telenav Inc. will process personal data in the context of your participation in the Scout Plaza Online Community social media channels (the “Scout Plaza” or the “Community”). 

We strive to ensure an adequate level of transparency on our processing operations. For this reason, we  created this Privacy Notice Supplement aiming to explain you the specific processing operations undertaken  on your data provided in Scout Plaza. This Privacy Notice shall be duly supplemented by our General Privacy  Policy which also applies, available at privacy policy

WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE PROCESS 

While you register and activate in Scout Plaza, the following data categories will be processed:

Identification data, for example your name and surname; physical or electronic signature; 

Contact details: e-mail address, address, telephone number; 

Account data: username, password; 

User content: such as content, including, without limitation, images, icons, photographs, graphics, sounds,  music, videos, texts, software, applications, Feedback, data, messages, answers, questions, comments,  suggestions, ideas, plans, requests, reports or other materials;  

Copyright infringement related data: such as notification content, claimed infringement, capacity of owner  of the copyright, agent of the owner of the copyright, statements related to the unauthorized use,  statements related to the accuracy of the information you provide; 

Complaint related data: such as details on inappropriate, unlawful, defamatory, offensive, abusive, or  otherwise unfit for publications; details of the location of the User Content in question; detailed explanation  of why the User Content is inappropriate, offensive or unlawful. 

Inferred data: this category includes data generated or inferred by us based on the data we hold about you,  regardless of its source (i.e., obtained directly from you, from interaction with our services or from external  sources, as the case may be). For example, when you submit feedback on a bug, we will investigate and  extract data from our systems to identify and remediate the bug. 

Survey data: this category includes any feedback/comments or information you provide in the context of  our surveys of any type. 

WHERE WE GET YOUR DATA FROM 

We obtain your data from: 

  • you, when you register and provide content in Scout Plaza or send us copyright/infringement related notifications;
  • other users, via copyright/infringement-related notifications; 
  • our systems, where specific complaints/requests feedback are further investigated in order to be  solved, add improvements to the Scout app. 

WHAT ARE THE PURPOSES AND GROUNDS FOR WHICH WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA

A. Granting access to Scout Plaza 

To invite you to Scout Plaza we will process your Discord App username, which may include your username  and other data you publish on your Discord profile and your password you create to access the Scout  Community. 

Legal Grounds: our legitimate interests to populate Scout Plaza and select the attending users who may  have interests in Scout product, to secure the User Content by limiting access to it to a specific pool of users. 

B. Surveys, market studies, and other internal analyses  

To communicate with you in the process of conducting surveys about user satisfaction for analysis purposes,  for quality improvements, for service and product developments, to measure the success of advertising  campaigns or to adapt our services/products to your requirements.  

We use the following data: Identification data: username on Discord Application where Scout Plaza can be  accessed, which may include your name and surname; your feedback/answers to our surveys and studies  or posted on the Community; User Content if relevant; 

Legal grounds: our legitimate interests to know the opinion and preferences of users regarding our  services/products or other suppliers, as well as to optimize our activity and identify new opportunities for  the development and promotion of services/products and activity in general; your consent expressed in the  context of the surveys/market studies we conduct. Your participation in such surveys or market studies is  voluntary. Consequently, it is your choice whether or not to provide us with the data by filling in the  participation forms on our Website or other similar forms provided in the framework of the respective  surveys or studies. 

We will ensure that we only use personal data if such use is necessary to achieve the intended purpose. As  a rule, the results of internal analyses and studies are anonymized. 

Where can we get the above data: in general, we use the data that: we receive from you or find the Scout  Plaza in the User Content posted by you. 

How long we keep your data (depending on the specific situation): in the case of the data underlying the  studies, surveys, and analyses with anonymized results - for the time necessary to transform into  anonymized statistics, but not more than 6 months after the survey / market study or the internal analysis  / study. If they are not anonymized, the results of studies, surveys, analyses will be kept for 1 (one) year  from the date of their generation and will not be made public. 

What happens if you do not provide us with the data: if you do not want to participate in our surveys or  studies or, as the case may be, provide us with certain information for this purpose, we may not implement  or take into account certain of your suggestions or other matters of interest to you. In any case, your refusal  to do so will not in any way affect your relationship with Telenav. 

C. Improvement of our products and services 

We use the User Content related to our products in Scout Plaza to improve our products and services. For  instance, if bugs are reported on the Community, our team will contact the user reporting such to request  for details in order to remediate such bug; if other functionality issues are described in your  comments/feedback or similar, our team may reach you to obtain further details in order to  remediate/improve such; if users feedback is that a specific feature needs particular improvements, we may  consider such suggestions and proceed in such respect, including requesting in the Community further  details on the envisaged improvements. 

Personal data we use: Identification Data, Contact Data, User Content, Inferred Data from our systems, as  necessary for the bug/issues fixing, if the case (if the bug/issue is related only to specific accounts), Survey  Data. 

Legal grounds: our legitimate interests to optimize our activity and identify new opportunities for the  development and promotion of services/products and activity in general; our legitimate interest to improve  our products and develop new functionalities as per users suggestions; our legitimate interest to remediate  any issues/bugs which may affect the user experience; our legitimate interest to communicate with our  users and show them our interest in their feedback/opinions. 

We will ensure that we only use personal data if such use is necessary to achieve the intended purpose.  Where can we get the above data: in general, we use the data that: we receive from you in the context of  Surveys or find in Scout Plaza in the User Content posted by you; we also infer data where needed for bug  fixing or other issues related to specific users account fixing; 

How long we keep your data (depending on the specific situation): the data is not copied from Scout Plaza at an individual level and stored separately; hence, Discord’s retention policy applies. Where we initiate contact with you to clarify specific aspects for  the bugs/dysfunctionalities or improvements proposed, such data will be retained as per our general  Privacy Policy - available here.  

What happens if you do not provide us with the data: if you do not want to provide us with certain  information for this purpose, we may not implement or take into account certain of your suggestions or  other matters of interest to you or as the case may be remediate the dysfunctionality/bug you report. In  any case, your refusal to do so will not in any way affect your relationship with Telenav.

D. Management of Scout Plaza complaints/notifications and ensuring User Content compliance with  our T&C 

We process your data in the context of investigating and solving any copyright infringement notifications or  complaints relating to any other User Content which is inappropriate, unlawful, defamatory, offensive,  abusive, or otherwise unfit for publications. 

Personal data we use: Identification data, Contact Details, User Content, Copyright infringement related  data, Complaints related data including details of the location of the User Content in question and a detailed  explanation of why the User Content is inappropriate, offensive or unlawful, Inferred data from our systems  relating to your notification of infringement or complaint, if the case. 

Legal grounds: our legitimate interests to ensure the compliance with copyright rules and with the T&C of  Scout Plaza as well as a clean content in the Community and to defend our rights and interests in judicial,  administrative or similar proceedings, or to properly manage any request you submit to us and to improve  our services/products; our legitimate interests to adequately investigate your requests and solve such  accordingly; your consent if you contact us by phone and the call is recorded.  

How long do we keep your data (depending on the specific situation): during the resolution of your request  and after the settlement for a duration of 3 (three) years for the solved claims, respectively for the duration  of any disputes/procedures and for a duration of 3 (three) years after their final settlement, or, as the case  may be, for other durations imposed according to our legal obligations.  

What happens if you do not provide us with the data from the standard forms / or requested by our  colleagues: the data we request from you is mandatory for the proper resolution of your requests. Your  refusal to provide that data may prevent or affect the full resolution of your request. (e.g., refusal due to  lack of sufficient information, delays, partial settlement, etc.). If you choose to contact us through another  communication channel operated by a third party (e.g. WhatsApp, Facebook) we will share your personal  data with the owner of this channel to confirm that you are a user of this service. We recommend that you  check your privacy settings and read the privacy policy of the respective operators to obtain more detailed  information on how they use the personal data of users of the services they provide. If you do not agree to  the recording of calls, you can contact us on other communication channels. 

DATA RECIPIENTS, DATA TRANSFERS 

The references in the General Privacy Policy available here on data recipients and data transfer apply  accordingly for the above mentioned purposes. 

Also, should any connected processing occur starting from the particular processing operations specific to  Scout Plaza (e.g., litigation, official procedures, promotion of our products/image, etc.), all the references  in our general Privacy Policy apply accordingly.

YOUR RIGHTS: 

You have the following rights in connection with our data processing as further explained and described in  our General Privacy Policy: 

(a) the right to know what personal data we hold about you and the right to access it; (b) the right to correct your data; 

(c) the right to delete your data; 

(d) the right to object or restrict the processing of your data;

(f) the right to revoke your consent at any time; 

(g) the right to not be subject to any automatic decision;
